How much RAM does an ATM10 To the Sky server need?
An ATM10 To the Sky server needs about 13 GB of RAM for five players, 18 GB for ten and 28 GB for twenty. Version 2.0.7 has more than 300 mods, which puts it in the same large class as ATM10 in our rule: an 8 GB base, then about a gigabyte for each player who joins.
| Players online | RAM needed | Plan size | Lowest price for that size |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2 to 5 | 13 GB | 16 GB | CheapestMinecraftHosting Pro, €12.80 a month in Poland (Warsaw) |
| 6 to 10 | 18 GB | 24 GB | CheapestMinecraftHosting Crew, €19.20 a month in Poland (Warsaw) |
| 11 to 20 | 28 GB | 32 GB | CheapestMinecraftHosting Guild, €25.60 a month in Poland (Warsaw) |
The pack's CurseForge page asks for at least 6 to 8 GB and its manifest recommends 8 GB, but both numbers are for one game. On a server, every team plays on its own island, 4,096 blocks from the next one, so players spread out and each keeps an area of chunks loaded around their own island instead of sharing one base.
Release 2.0.7 already contains AllTheLeaks, a memory leak fix, alongside ModernFix and FerriteCore. spark is in the pack as well, for finding the cause when the server lags; our guide to Minecraft server lag explains its report.
ATM10 To the Sky server files: where to download them
ATM10 To the Sky server files are on the pack's CurseForge page, not in the pack you play: open Files, pick the release, 2.0.7 from 5 October 2026 at the time of writing, and download Server Files under Additional Files, as the ATM team's server guide describes.
Extract the zip into an empty folder. The first run of startserver.bat on Windows or startserver.sh on Linux installs NeoForge and writes the rest of the files; let it finish, set eula=true in eula.txt and run it again. NeoForge for 1.21.1 needs Java 21, and the memory goes in the -Xms and -Xmx lines of user_jvm_args.txt. The guide also warns against editing server-ip or server-port in server.properties, which can stop the server from starting.
On a hosted plan you rarely touch the zip. The guide sends you to the host's one-click installer first; otherwise, set up a NeoForge server of the pack's version and upload the extracted files by SFTP or through the file manager.
How to set up an ATM10 To the Sky server
Setting up an ATM10 To the Sky server takes 5 steps, and the third decides whether it becomes a skyblock at all:
- Choose 32 GB for up to twenty players, 24 GB for ten or 16 GB for five, with NeoForge as the server type.
- Install ATM10 To the Sky 2.0.7 from CurseForge in the panel, or upload the server files yourself.
- Open server.properties before the first start and make sure it says
level-type=skyblockbuilder\:skyblock; change the line if it names another level type. - Start the server and op yourself in the console, as our guide to op yourself on a Minecraft server shows; the pack's admin commands need level 4.
- Let every group run
/sky createwith a team name, which builds their island and moves them onto it.
Players who join for the first time land on the shared spawn island, and the void around it has no land to pre-generate, so the world is ready as soon as the server reports Done.
ATM10 To the Sky skyblock command not working: the world type
The ATM10 To the Sky skyblock commands only work in a skyblock world: the pack leaves Skyblock Builder's forceSkyblockCheck off, so on a world made with another level type, /sky has no islands to act on. The usual sign is a server that drops new players into an ordinary landscape with grass and trees.
The fix comes from the pack's FAQ: stop the server, delete the world, set level-type=skyblockbuilder\:skyblock in server.properties and start it again. The backslash before the colon belongs there, and Skyblock Builder's own page for server admins puts this line before anything else. Because the fix deletes the world, check the line before anyone starts building.
How to play ATM10 To the Sky multiplayer
To play ATM10 To the Sky multiplayer, every group makes a team with Skyblock Builder, and each team gets its own island 4,096 blocks from the next. A player belongs to 1 team at a time, and these 8 commands cover a normal day:
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/sky create <name> | Makes a team with its own island and moves you there |
/sky invite <player> | Invites a friend to your team |
/sky accept <team> | Accepts an invitation from that team |
/sky join <team> | Asks to join a team that takes join requests |
/sky home | Takes you back to your team's island |
/sky spawn | Takes you to the shared spawn island |
/sky visit <team> | Visits another island, if that team allows visitors |
/sky leave | Leaves your team; the pack drops your items when you do |
Home, spawn and visit each have their own cooldown of 3 minutes in the pack's settings. A team decides about visitors with /sky team toggleAllowVisit and about join requests with /sky team toggleAllowRequest.
ATM10 To the Sky starting islands: how to change the island
ATM10 To the Sky ships 7 starting islands, and a new team gets simple_life unless an operator picks another with /skydev manage islandShape <name>. The change applies to teams made after it; islands that exist keep their shape.
The 7 templates in the pack's config are simple_life, witch_cottage, default, sanguine sanctuary, steve's staycation, piggy and skyfactory, and the CurseForge page thanks Howester84 for 2 of the favourites. To give the next team the witch's cottage, type skydev manage islandShape witch_cottage in the console before they run /sky create.
How to delete a team in ATM10 To the Sky
To delete a team in ATM10 To the Sky, an operator runs /skydev manage teams delete <name>, one of 6 team commands that Skyblock Builder gives server admins:
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/skydev manage teams delete <name> | Deletes a team for good; its island stays, and the members drop their items and go to spawn |
/skydev manage teams clear | Removes every team that has no members left |
/skydev manage teams create <name> | Makes an empty team, for players to join later |
/skydev manage addPlayer <players> <name> | Puts one or more players in a team |
/skydev manage kickPlayer <players> | Takes players out of their team |
/sky team rename <new> <team> | Renames a team, for names that should not be on your server |
A deleted team cannot be brought back, and its island cannot be given to a new team, so kick a player instead when only one member is the problem.
How to update an ATM10 To the Sky server
To update an ATM10 To the Sky server, back up the world and follow the ATM team's server guide: delete the 4 folders kubejs, defaultconfigs, mods and config, then extract the same 4 from the new Server Files and keep the world, server.properties and eula.txt. When the new release uses another NeoForge version, delete the libraries folder too and copy in the new startserver script.
Save any configs or KubeJS scripts you changed before the delete, because it takes them with it. A host with a modpack installer usually updates in one click, as the guide notes. Releases came quickly in September and October 2026: 2.0.3 on 9 September, 2.0.4 two days later, 2.0.5 and 2.0.6 on 21 September and 2.0.7 on 5 October. Our Minecraft server backup guide shows how to get a world back after a bad update.
ATM10 To the Sky vs ATM10 for a server
ATM10 To the Sky and ATM10 come from the same team, and on a server they differ in 5 ways:
| ATM10 To the Sky | ATM10 | |
|---|---|---|
| Release on 10 October 2026 | 2.0.7, from 5 October 2026 | 8.2, from 22 September 2026 |
| NeoForge | 21.1.250 | 21.1.251 |
| Projects in the CurseForge pack | 326 | 495 |
| World | Islands in the void, one per team | A generated world to explore |
| Extra dimensions | Not reachable in survival; the Nether has only fortresses | Part of the game |
The 2 packs share 274 projects, and 52 belong to To the Sky alone, such as Ex Deorum's sieves and GeOre's crystals. Both count as large packs in our rule, so they need the same RAM; for the pack with a full world, see ATM10 server hosting.
